A lull in the action is provided by John Campbell, an unknown white acoustic guitarist who plays and sings old country blues. There is nothing distinctive about his style or repertoire. The big question is why he was put on the show in the first place. The backstage grapevine says it's because he has something to do with Benson & Hedges.

Speakeasy featured Gatemouth Brown on Nov. 6. John Campbell opened with his Texas style acoustic blues. The night was a wonderful amalgam of blues styles and textures.
