FIRESIDE CHAT - An immediate benefit of the Fire's tryouts were Running Back Jimmie Calip and Wide Receiver Willie Miller, who were added to the active roster. Both played for Spavital last season in Winnipeg. Receiver Ron Thomas was released and Running Back Clayton Heath was dropped to the taxi squad. Linebackers Chuck Kogut [achilles tendon] and Keith Best are still slowed, and neither may start against the Blazers.
